Air-entraining admixtures are used to improve durability, workability, and resistance to freeze and thaw cycles in fresh concrete by forming microscopic air bubbles that stabilize against heat and strong alkalines in the hydration of concrete by surfactant action.
● USAGE
* Ready mix concrete plant or Batch plant field
* Mass Concrete such as dams or mats
* Subway construction which is exposed to the effects of vibration
* Concrete roads, runways, and bridges with a possibility of freezing
* Other concrete structures
● DOSAGE
* 0.02 ~ 0.05 wt% of total binder
* Please test concrete to make sure each batch meets the exact specification because the amount of entrained air can vary depending on the nature of the aggregates and mixing conditions
● ADVANTAGES
* Reduction in unit quantities and increase of resistance to freeze and thaw cycles
* Reduction in segregation of materials and concrete bleeding
* Increased durability
* Improved liquidity and workability due to air-entraining admixtures
* Increased resistance to shrinkage cracking of concrete due to lower permeability
● PROPERTIES
* Appearance : colorless or light dark brown
* Specific gravity : 1.04±0.05 (20℃)
* pH : 6.0±3.0
● Precautions
* There are some precautions to protect concrete against the effects of cold weather because the amount of air changes depending on the concrete temperature, type of cement used, S/A, SLUMP, particle size and shape of the fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, and other admixtures.
● Packing : 20kg/can, 200kg/drum, 1TON/drum, Tank Lorry
